Ubisecure releases major update to digital identity management software – ‘Identity Server 2020.1’

Digital Identity

Ubisecure’s latest Identity Platform software release introduces GSMA’s mobile connect features and new continuous integration pipeline.

Digital identity solutions provider, Ubisecure, has announced an update to its leading Identity Platform, enabling organisations to protect themselves against data breaches and deliver exceptional customer experiences. This update, ‘Identity Server 2020.1’, focuses on the expansion of GSMA Mobile Connect features and a new Continuous Integration (CI) pipeline.

The Identity Platform is an API-first identity management solution stack, built to enable secure, seamless, compliant experiences in digital apps and services. The platform enables robust digital approaches to verifying online identities and the ongoing management of identities throughout systems. The software powers Ubisecure’s IDaaS offering, and can also be deployed on-premises or to a private cloud.

This latest update focuses on the expanded support for GSMA’s Mobile Connect service, enabling users of the Identity Platform to utilise their local carrier, or an integration to a global carrier, within the GSMA network to perform strong, two-factor authentications. With smart devices now carried by three out of four people in advanced economies globally, this stride forward will support organisations in their digital-first strategies without the additional constraint of having to manage an everchanging end user information repository.

Identity Server 2020.1 also sees an update to Ubisecure’s CI pipeline – used when creating composite software packages, like the Identity Platform – ensuring the internally developed features and improvements combine with the 3rd party software packages, such as Tomcat and Wildfly, in an automated review process. This revolutionised CI pipeline will permit rapid iterations, resolving minor deviations and larger engineering solutions in a robust and regression testable manner.

John Jellema, VP Product Management at Ubisecure, said, “In today’s digital-first environment, the Mobile Connect integration is particularly important to our customers for advancing mobile based security and engagement. With the transformation of our CI pipeline, our highly skilled engineering team has permitted us to approach and complete similar complex integration projects in a rapid, yet controlled and testable, manner. We’re excited to release further regular updates to our Identity Platform, with many new innovative features and improvements in the pipeline. Watch this space!”
