With Christmas just around the corner, we thought we would share what is on our Christmas list because we know that coming up with ideas sometimes can be hard when you have been working all day. Christmas is the time of year when we gift our loved ones, and we thought that we could try to make our business leaders shopping sessions a bit easier.

This is the podcast for all your colleagues, friends, parents, and partners looking to improve their homes by bringing in new smart products.

For the wine connoisseurs

For our wine connoisseurs, the Albi Home M+ is the “first eco-conscious” smart wine dispenser, which uses AI to optimize energy consumption. The Albi Home M+ can store wine eight times longer than any other preserving method and is designed to automatically serve wine at its ideal temperature, thanks to a temperature control system. In addition, this wine dispenser comes with an app that provides information on the selected wine, sets the wine temperature and sets the time to supply. Albi also has parental control features that allow you to lock the wine dispenser from the app so that children can’t use it.

For the aspiring gardener

Do you know someone who doesn’t have green fingers but still wants to grow their own veggies, fruit and herbs to live healthier? If so, then the fully automated vertical indoor growing system Gardyn is for them. The Gardyn has the capacity for 30 large plants and takes up about two square feet. The system uses AI to recirculate water, air and nutrients. The app will also send notifications when it’s time to harvest a specific plant and refill the water reservoir. The team at Gardyn have made it possible for everyone to enjoy indoor vertical gardens that take care of themselves and provide for large quantities of amazingly tasty and nutritious produce, making it the perfect Christmas gift.

And then for all those with green fingers who love to be in their gardens, Senua Soil Moisture Meter. This product helps to monitor the condition of plants and the soil around them by connecting the plant monitor to the “Flowers Care” app via Bluetooth. This sensor can tell them about the soil they are planting in, whether it’s inside or out. It can monitor light, temperature, moisture and much more.

For the chef that needs a hand

Cooking can seem daunting and unrealistic to many who work all day and get home after 18:00 and still need to feed and bath the kids, etc. The new Anova Nano Precision Cooker makes it easy to achieve fine dining results at home with a price point that won’t break the bank. It even connects to phones via Bluetooth to help cook amazing meals with the touch of a button and monitor progress from any room in the house. The Anova Nano Precision Cooker can also be paired with the Anova Culinary App for thousands of recipes to get inspired in the kitchen and cook like a pro in no time.

For the aspiring DIY-pro

The final option in this category has to go to all those who want to do handyman work on the weekend.  Walabot is a tool that assists in looking inside the walls before any holes are drilled. It works perfectly when looking for studs, pipes, and wires inside the wall and can even track troublesome rodents inside your wall! I think any of your friends, dads, and partners who enjoy doing work around the house or plan to renovate will enjoy this as a Christmas gift.

The latest and greatest tech

Now, do you have that one family member (especially those teenagers and young adults) who are obsessed with the latest and greatest tech? If you do, then this next section is definitely for you.

Did you hear them say they need a new pair of headphones? In September 2021, Apple announced some of their new products, including the new Apple AirPods Max. The over-ear headphone has been completely reimagined by Apple. From cushion to canopy, AirPods Max is designed for an uncompromising fit that creates the optimal acoustic seal for many different head shapes — fully immersing you in every sound. AirPods Max combines high-fidelity audio with industry-leading Active Noise Cancellation to deliver an unparalleled listening experience. Each part of their custom-built driver works to produce sound with ultra-low distortion across the audible range. From deep, rich bass to accurate mids and crisp, clean highs, you’ll hear every note with a new sense of clarity. If you already have some items in your Amazon cart, you can also add these in.

When travelling and spending time with friends and family, there is always a need to capture the moment. The DJI Mini 2 is a compact and convenient, ideal travel companion that can transform how memories are captured. Thanks to intuitive and advanced features packed in a portable frame, DJI Mini 2 provides complete freedom wherever and however the user wants to create. So whether it’s shooting at a deserted beach or capturing the details of a fun family reunion, Mini 2 can handle it all.

Many people don’t like to wear watches but still want to track their health. That’s where the Oura Ring Health Tracker comes in for a sleeker and more compact wearable health tracker. The Oura ring measures more than just steps and heart rate; as it is on the finger, the ring can track heart rate, heart rate variability and body temperature. The app then provides cumulative scores for sleep, readiness, and activity. Oura also helps learn the body’s individual needs to set goals that are appropriate and achievable.

VR experiences have become increasingly more popular over the last year and a half, which means someone you know would love an Oculus Quest 2 as it is in the running for the best VR headset. With its sharp screen and power, it has become a main contender in the market. The Oculus Quest 2 provides the user with proper head and room-scale tracking without the need for other unsightly sensors.

The Oculus Quest 2 also provides the user with built-in speakers that deliver cinematic 3D positional audio.

The final option in this category has to be the Galaxy Z Fold3 5G. This is everything someone would want in a premium, durable, 5G smartphone. The thinnest, most pocketable Galaxy Fold yet, with big screens, inside and out. Folded, it’s a premium 6.2-inch smartphone that rocks the classic one-handed hold.1 Unfolded, it provides an expansive view that opens new possibilities. An important feature for many of us as well is that it’s water-resistant!

Tech gifts under £100

Not all Christmas presents need to be expensive, so we will provide you with some tech gifts under £100.

The Alexa Echo Dot (4th Gen) is a smart speaker with a clock. The Echo Dot has a sleek, compact design that delivers crisp vocals and balanced bass for full sound. It is also ready to help ask Alexa to tell a joke, play music, answer questions, play the news, check the weather, set alarms, and more. In addition, it provides the option to call friends and family who have the Alexa app or an Echo device. Instantly drop in on other rooms or announce to the whole house that dinner’s ready. The Alexa Echo Dot comes in at £49.99 on Amazon

Who would have thought that motivational water bottles were a thing? If you’re looking for a gift for a family member or a colleague that struggles to keep up with their water intake, then the HidrateSpark Motivation Water Bottle is a winner for this Christmas! This bottle has a LED smart sensor “puck” that glows so that you know it’s time to drink some water.

It also syncs up via Bluetooth and tracks your intake through the HidrateSpark App. Choose from various colours, two sizes and lid options. The HidrateSpark STEEL Smart Water Bottle comes in at only £59.99 on Amazon.

Do you have a coffee lover in the family? If you do, the Ember Temp Control Smart Mug is the ultimate gift for them. This smart mug allows you to control your smartphone by pairing it with the Ember App to set your temperature, customize pre-sets, receive notifications and more. The Ember heated mug intelligently senses when to turn on and off. The mug enters sleep mode when empty and wakes up when it senses movement or liquid. With extended battery life, this mug keeps your drink perfectly hot for up to 1.5 hours on a single charge. This goodie comes in at £95.05 on Amazon

There is nothing worse than misplacing your car keys just before you leave for work, and it ultimately ends up making you late for that important meeting. However, 2022 doesn’t need to be the same for the forgetful friend or family member. All they will need to do is attach the Tile Mate to their important belongings, and then they can use their smartphone to make your Tile Mate ring when it’s nearby but out of sight. You can also use it the other way, double press the Tile button on your Tile Mate and make your phone ring, even when it’s on silent. This gift comes in at only £19.60 for one on Amazon.
